Problem
Fast, reliable 5G coverage has become essential to our daily lives - powering our video calls, remote work, streaming entertainment, and smart devices. Yet inside buildings where we spend most of our time, ensuring consistent 5G coverage remains a manual process.
Approach
Automating signal testing through robotics can deliver consistent coverage reports, coverage maps, and real-time data visualization while freeing engineers to focus on network optimization rather than data collection. The solution automates 5G field testing, providing engineers with consistent signal strength measurements across complex indoor environments through a three-phase process.
Solution
The robot creates detailed 3D point cloud maps using RTAB 3D Point Cloud technology, establishing the testing environment. With the map selected, users can place waypoints on the map, the robot then autonomously navigates through the path while collecting 5G signal measurements via smartphone.
